The Problem Space
Many restaurant goers frequently order takeout or visit for social occasions. However, many often experience indecisiveness, and over-complicated research while looking for ways to accommodate their budget and dietary needs. How might we improve restaurant goers’ decision-making process to be more decisive by providing recommendations based on their dietary needs, budgets and proximity to ensure user satisfaction.

User Surveys
As a user researcher, I want to understand how indecisiveness is a common main point. As a user researcher, I want to understand the user’s thought process when deciding a place to eat.

Research goals
How often do you struggle with choosing a place to eat? Do you find it difficult to find restaurants that accommodate your dietary restrictions? Do you find it difficult to find budget friendly meal options? On a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to go to a restaurant if you have a discount voucher?

Persona

Marianne is student and part-time sales associate but she also loves going out to see her friends when she can. Marianne is planning a brunch with her and her friends but is finding it difficult to figure out a place that everyone agrees on and accommodates their budget and dietary needs.

Sketches to Mid Fidelity Wireframes
After considering various concepts and refining through multiple iterations, the final screens were sketched to outline the task flow. This process aided in consolidating design concepts by translating them onto paper. Subsequent minor adjustments were implemented during the transition to mid-fidelity design, as the on-screen clarity of structure and content evolved.After considering various concepts and refining through multiple iterations, the final screens were sketched to outline the task flow.
